The Yard Sale

When Grandma and Grandpa Pennington moved to the village, they brought a lot of clothes along with them. They did not need most of it anymore and so they donated it to us for a yard sale. We dedicated the yard sale to saving money for our child. Our first amount that was needed was $350, we already had $139 from saving a dollar here and there, and our beloved Frank, who felt God wanted him to give us a check periodically, and he has been faithful to do so. Thank you so much Frank! So, all we needed to make was $211 at the yard sale. The first day, Friday 8th, we made $134. We figured that we would definitely make much more on Saturday. Saturday came along, and we did not receive a single customer until 9:30 a.m., which is very rare. We began to wonder if we were even going to make a few dollars, much less the $77 that was needed, but then we felt like God was going to just give us what we needed, nothing more, nothing less. At the end of the day, which was extremely slow, we counted what we had made. Low and behold, we had made $85! God was faithful to provide, we were so excited!

Special thanks to Dylanna, who took care of grocery shopping, and helped at yard sale when she could and her support; to Mom, Nikki, Zech, Cheyl, and Dalia for setting up and taking down yard sale, and enduring hours of boredom.
